My name is Katie Smith. I am studying Sport development at Askham Bryan College.
I wanted to take part in this project, to develop more coaching skills and confidence. I had never been abroad before, so this was a chance for me to get the opportunity to experience what its like living and teaching in a different country and experiencing a different culture all together.
When coaching I participated in a range of different activities such as gymnastics, athletics, biking and rugby.
In the free time we visited the rum distillery, and to the slave museum.
Thank to Erasmus+, professionally I have gained skills needed for working in a different culture. Personally, I have gained confidence and independence.
