Construction – Greece

The project is hosted by Deltadyo NGO in cooperation with the Parents’ Association of Primary School of Arhilohos-Marpissa. The main idea is to make the schoolyard and the inner spaces of the school more attractive, interactive, inclusive, playful and multidimensional for the children of the school. First part of the project already took place in April 2022 when german volunteers built up a nice wooden playground with climbing and swinging activities in the schoolyard. The whole design process of the schoolyard has been a participatory one, with children expressing their ideas and dreams for their school.
There is open space for creativity and ideas to be implemented, having always the safety regulations of public school in Greece in mind. Support also is needed in making “corners” in the school for all different ways of play and expression, trying to make all the children of the school happy and smily.

The project place: Greece
There is a central market in the village of Marpissa with a supermarket, a bakery shop, a grocery shop and a pharmacy. This is in 5’ walk from the school and 10’ from the accommodation place.
There are many interesting places to visit around the island and we’ll organise the visits to most of them since transportation arrangements needed.
